Red Heart Reserve Shiraz
So, it’s the night Canada beat the USA to win the Gold Medal in Hockey at the Olympics. We are with special friends and have just finished wiping away the tears while watching Stephen Brunt’s (Globe and Mail Sports) great video montage of the Olympics which has the song “Red Heart”, by Newfoundlands Hey Rosetta!, playing in the background. Greg Corra (my Aussie partner) and I are looking for a name for this great new Aussie Reserve Shiraz. My wife, Trish, suggests Red Heart and after overcoming some initial resistance ( why, I don’t know) the rest is, as they say, history.
We have been very fortunate to have purchased premium Shiraz grapes and have them vinified by Australian “Winemaker of the Year” Kevin Mitchell of Kilikanoon Wines. These grapes would normally have found their way into $35 wines, so we are thrilled to be able to offer Red Heart at 16.98 .
If you haven’t seen this incredible video, which has been nominated for a Gemini Award, here it is! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xapbavrcoyk&feature=related
If you have been living in a cave on a deserted island and haven’t heard Hey Rosetta!, here they are http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8s4m6CB6Tg
Folks, you got to try this wine, it is truly one heck of a drink for the price.
